Since this is my fist blog post I will start by showing my paintings in  chronological order from the time I painted them. Though I am not starting with my very first paintings I ever created I am starting with the ones I am most proud of. This particular one is entitled " St. Peters Dome " it is an 18 by 20 acrylic on canvas I painted four years ago and sold it this year. I have always been interested with this part of the Columbia Gorge, I love the gigantic basalt  pillars with trees growing out of them. They remind me of middle earth or the floating mountains of  Pangaea, it may sound nerdy, but the rocks have something fantastical about them. From a rock climbing point of view, St. Peters Dome has only been summit-ed twice, this is because the rock is so loose which makes it very dangerous. also note the presence of beacon rock, mt Hamilton, and mt Adams in the painting
